The music of the late 60’s lives on as WHEELS OF FIRE pays a musical homage to the legendary music of Ginger Baker’s super-group and seminal “Power-Trio”, CREAM.
CREAM was formed in Britain in 1966 by Jazz drummer extraordinaire, GINGER BAKER, and featured Scotsman JACK BRUCE on bass guitar and vocals and the lead guitar and vocals of the incomparable living guitar legend, ERIC CLAPTON.
CREAM forged their way into musical history during the 1960’s British Invasion by fusing improvisational jazz, blues, and rock and roll, and melding their powerful musicianship with thought provoking and poignant lyrics. Even though CREAM only enjoyed a two year existence as a band and resurgence last year with their acclaimed 2005 reunion tour, CREAM is noted in Billboard magazine as being one of the most influential musical groups of all time. Having sold millions of albums that produced many classic chart breaking hits such as “Sunshine of Your Love”, “Crossroads”, “Badge” (co-written with Beatle’s guitarist George Harrison), “Tales of Brave Ulysses”, “SWLABR”, “Strange Brew”, and “White Room” and with their double album, “Wheels Of Fire”, CREAM topped the American charts in 1968, establishing themselves alongside the Beatles and Jimi Hendrix as one of the biggest rock acts in the world. CREAM also earned the distinguished honor of being inducted into the ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME in 1993.
WHEELS OF FIRE is a tribute to CREAM’S enduring musical legacy and with a state of the art sound and light show, WHEELS OF FIRE captures the live excitement, sound, intensity, and improvisational psychedelia of the early power trio format with inspired spot-on performances by lead guitar/vocalist Michael Paolucci, drummer/vocalist Peter Ferraguto, and Conrad Mlynarski on Bass guitar.
